Call yourself BRITISH? You should be ashamed of yourself, that stuff is pants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :curse:

If you're hot by all means have a proper cold drink like coke, OJ or even water.

Think of instant coffee granules but 500,000 times worse.

You stick a spoonful in a cup and pour boiling water over it. It resembles something like dirty dish water and tastes nothing like tea. You don't even need to add milk...it's in the granules.

so guess she just doesn't like t-bags then coz it couldn't get much easier to fix a cuppa than by using good old t-bags.

We'll see how long you last in San Antonio's summer without giving into a glass of "ice tea." Just be glad we don't usually sugar it in Texas.... sugared iced tea is the norm east of the Sabine.

I don't mind those *so long as* they aren't overpowering and they aren't sweet (sounds contradictory but it's possible).

My only problem is in Europe.... no bloody ice worth mentioning and I *eat* the stuff. Toon used to think I was odd but now he too consumes plenty of ice when it's hot. Even in the winter I want my ice!

My sister likes her tea very, very weak and milky. This is no lie...she makes one tea bag last all day...sometimes even 2 days. She also likes a large mug of tea...so you can imagine what the 10th cuppa resembles.

That will never happen LOL

Even if I did, by some miracle, grow to like it (i.e. someone gave me a taste of theirs and I decided "hmmm this is quite a tasty beverage"), I still wouldnt drink it out of principle. Tea is just supposed to be hot, nuff said.

Like I said, if I'm hot, I'll drink a proper cold drink, one that was DESIGNED to be drunk cold.

Here here! I'm with you on that one 100%.
My grandpa used to say that the best thing to cool you down on a hot day is a nice cup of hot tea!!!
I've made the ice tea apple juice mistake too and nearly projectile vomited!
my friend buys this frozen tube from the store then puts it in a pitcher and tops it up with water. Totally rank and wrong, and it tates awful!

Oh, I give y'all 2 years before you too will be partaking of the summer beverage

snowbunny, I recall going back to S.A. on vacation a few months after moving here and asking for ice. He brings me ONE ICE CUBE in a cup.....I'd gotten used to the ice very very fast in the heat we have.
