Thanks very much David, VJ, I've looked at the IRS form you linked to David.
I have a mixture of consultancy and dividend income to think about so think I will still seek out an accountant. For guidance going forward as much as anything - for example, I can weight the ratio of consultancy fees to dividend I receive depending on whether there is a tax advantage in doing so.

Good luck Adam. Don't get anything special, an H and R Block would be good enough. I always did my own taxes except twice, went to H and R Block and by co-incidence my consultant was from London!
