Whats with the 'For Sale By Owner' signs ?
Is that as opposed to 'For Sale By Thief' or 'For Sale By Auntie Doris' signs ?

Okay, I am always on about this to Mrs Sod but she won't have it. Don't know about elswhere in the US but here in MI there are signs along the roads that say DO NOT PASS. DO NOT PASS. DO NOT PASS!!! Every few yards. Then, you get to a blind bend and the signs say Pass With Care. Does that make any sense at all to anyone other than my missus?
Of course I understand what they mean but in a sensible country it would say, on a bend DEFINATELY DO NOT PASS!!!! Not: if you must pass, even though we have spent the last five miles saying you cant pass, but if you really must pass at this most dangerous point, do try to pass with care.

That and those stupid signs on the doors ar Target that say, on the way out DO NOT ENTER. How the flip can you enter an exit door. To the outside? And on doors leading in it says - No Exit. Stupid stupid stupid.

on US 131 near us theres a sign that reads "DO NOT PASS WHEN ONCOMING TRAFFIC PRESENT" no sh*t sherlock !!!

This is a truck one ! ..... so most here wont see the funny side
As you go down a very steep hill into Vergennes VT a sign warns against using Engine brakes in the town, if you have aloaded truck and don't use it you will have to stand on the foot brake to keep from breaking the stuip 25 mph limit. You can't f**kin win
At the bottom there is almost always a cop waiting to ticket you for going over 25 mph, using the engine brake or to check your fott brakes to see if they are burning.
If you ever heard that very loud barking a truck makes when it slows thats the engine brake !
I am lucky ! mine has a Merc engine and exhaust brake, the village cop can't hear it but the asshole still tags along behind me through the town to see if I exceed 25 mph.

Talking of signs .. it occurred to me only today that there don't appear to be any signs with 'miles to go' on them ... ie, on the M1 it would say Sheffield 65 miles, Rotherham 70 miles etc.
