Default Square letters
My children sent off their thank-you notes to England which cost 13c extra each because they were square

Anyone know why?

haha i had that problem the first year i was here ...the post office i went to said it was because it was not a standard size, still don't understand it

just an excuse to fleece you a bit extra...unless it was a large and heavier card...

They were small, light notes...he got out a special gauge to measure them and said it was the shape.

yep my man had a special gauge

mine were light and smallish. it's the shape coz they are square...most bizarre

it really is and i was so pi**ed off about it I checked with usps and yes my post office was correct...hubs thought they were trying it on with me so that's why i checked up, still doesn't make any sense
