Default Speeding ticket in Toronto

I am a resident of Illinois and I got a speeding ticket in toronto. Can I ignore the ticket as Canada is a different country or do these guys share information with US.

It's Canada. They'll be expecting you to do the right thing.

Pay it if you want. Canada has no enforcement powers in the US.

I used to live in New York, and New York State has a deal with Ontario to cross-enforce their traffic offenses, which is odd as New York doesn't (as far as I'm aware) have a similar deal with New Jersey!

I think that living in Illinois you'll be in the clear, however, be warned, you may have problems if you ever go back to Canada, especially if the cops ever stop you again.

How can I find out if Illinois has a deal with Ontario to cross-enforce their traffic offences.
