Fag butts on the ground is worse here because everyone is loitering around the entrances because they can't smoke inside....which you don't notice in NH...but then they can still smoke inside there...

Yep, do get a few people hanging around outside to have a smoke ... but still don't see the butts on the ground because there's always one of those fag butt bins provided! One thing I will say is that, in general, American's seem to be very good at putting their litter in a trash can rather than just chuck it on the ground, as is often the case in the UK!

I have to mention this:

Boston Market - where else can you get good quality chicken, that hasn't been refined much from a fast food outlet.

and the sweet corn tastes great too.

Aye, height of summer, a dozen cobbs for a buck...fantastic

Oh, can afford decent shell fish too, I'm not keen on it myself, don't mind lobster, but muscles, oysters, crabs, clams....eeek....but all very cheap and good quality, oh, and can afford to get the odd portion of tiger prawns now and again over here

One more good thing about living in the US is that my neighbours, to a large extent, aren't forever trying to stick their noses into my business. Where I used to live in the UK I was really tired of all the 'curtain twitchers'!

ROTFL.... I had a blazing row with my adopted brother, on a street in Bury, Manchester. He tried to calm me down by saying that in summer all the windows were open but I said "so ****ing what?"

well.... all the windows that HADN'T been previously opened opened!!!!! no one came out but I think they must have had a right laugh at an American yelling "you PROMISED you wouldn't snog her!" at the top of her lungs!

I think the thing I like most about living in the US is the freedom to pretty much be who you want without to many pompous pricks giving you their opinions on why you should conform.

We always have Kenco in the house. Either we get someone to mail it over or when MIL comes for a visit she brings it over. My husband likes coffee in the morning, and he's not about to grind up beans and fool around with a coffeemaker. Can't blame him.

Because the state motto is "Live Free or Die." However, that may seem like an oxymoron when tobacco is involved.
