Some advice please
Firstly hello to you all.
I am currently 27 years old with a wife and 7 year old son. My father has lived in Florida for over 13 year. He has been granted citizenship.
We are looking to move over to Florida to live and set up our own home. I have no University Degrees and don't have a trade as such, just a "jack of all trades"
I am currently working as a Sales Office Co-ordinator for one of Europes largest O'Ring and seal distributors. I have emailed probably over 20 seal related companies in Florida from Miami upto Tampa. As of yet still no replys
My father lives in Tamarac, just North of Fort Lauderdale. But looking for houses property looks much more expensive compared to up North.
What is the best way to get across, and should we buy a house 1st or rent a while until we both get work?
Saying this neither of us have any collateral. No savings, no property or anything really. We are looking at buying our council house and were thinking we could maybe rent it out fully furnished to get a little back but how would we stand getting a mortgage in the US if we already have one in the UK ?
Sorry for all the questions in one go, but I would like to try and get things clear in my mind so I don't get my hopes up too much.

Is there some strange conjunction of the planets today?

Your father's status means diddly squat in your immigration terms, though it may be useful having someone on the ground.
