So, I now have my green card, what now?
To explain further, the GC replaces my E2 Visa (for employee)... Do I need to tell my employer I now am a permanent resident? Do I need to change anything with the SSA (My current SSN card states for employment only - or similar).
Or can I just do nothing?

I'd get the SSN updated to remove the restriction from it, and then use SSN and DL for employment verification purposes. I never showed my GC as proof of employment.

yes update ssn card to get one without the wording on it.
make sure you take your gc when you do your next Driving licence renewal.
keep ANY address changes updated with USCIS (ONLINE FORM AR11 I THINK)
keep a list of all trips outside the US from now on (needed for step below)
wait 5 years (-90 days) and apply for that citizenship

Abandon the green card within 8 years to avoid the exit tax should you lose the green card later.

Only a issue if someone is sitting on a pile of millions...and if they are, they probably aren't asking questions on a forum...
