Personally that's still a very expensive plan even if it is 4G. For having 5 lines they should be offering more money off than that
Yes it's 4GLTE. I consider under $30 per month for unlimited everything (even my kids would be hard pushed to use more than 10gb each of data in a month and even if they did, there's no additional fees) to be more than reasonable - its much cheaper than we were paying in the UK through O2 and we were limited to 1gb data at home.

Again, everyone is different, I don't think $110 is a huge deposit and I could have it back sooner if I don't want to continue with T Mobile.

Sim-only so you're not buying phones.

I had to pay deposits for electricity and water. Definitely not for the sim-only t-mobile service.
This plan bills in arrears, I'll get an emailed bill in 30 days and pay online. The 'deposit' is a bit like one month in advance I suppose.

I'm more than happy that I can call the UK and Ireland unrestricted for $15 a month extra.

I've got no wifi access yet so Skype etc is a no go and I used over £30 in data charges in the first 24 hours!

I would double check the 10GB data....that definitely sounds like a sharing plan so essentially 2gb per device....and that's from looking at plans today. Broken down, $30odd is amazing amazing plan for unlimited t&t and 10gb 4GLTE each

Equivalent VF is £32 12m contract but does include a TV package

That looks like a great deal! It works very much like our current t-mobile plan except that we only get 1 GB each.....thanks for sharing this.

NB This prompted me to look at our current plan because my current plan seemed like a good deal . 4 Lines 1gb each + $15 for international on my line the total i was told was $115 however my bill is $144.92 each month. The taxes and fees are worked out per line so I'm paying $30 a month on top. as shown here for one extra line

"Service from Jun 23 to Jul 22
Plan
AAL SCNC UNL TT+D $10.00
Subtotal: $10.00
T-Mobile fees and charges & Government taxes and fees

T-Mobile fees and charges
Federal Universal Service Fund $0.29
State Universal Service Fund $0.24
TX Recovery Fee $0.14
Regulatory Programs Fee $2.71
Government taxes and fees
State & Local Sales Tax $1.12
State 911 $0.50
State Surcharge $0.06
Subtotal: $5.06
Total: $15.06

interesting

So is that excl. Taxes presumably?

Before doing anything else I'd do a coverage checker. Im aware that, like Three in the UK, TMobs in the USA is undercutting all other providers because it's coverage is the worst across the whole country.

So double check it. I for one was tempted as they are prominent in LA, but get a few miles out of the sprawl and it's increasingly poor and as Im planning on road trips it'd have caused me issues

You may want to look at togglemobile before you leave the UK, allows one phone and a UK and US number. Ringplus, ultramobile and Lyca mobile all give reasonable plans.

How often are you going to be in those areas though? Personally wherever I've been T-Mobile has had absolutely fine coverage. Even on some off track town on the way from SC to Savannah, GA, I was getting 40Mbps with TMO. They're pushing out Band 12 700mhz as quickly as possible, which is going to have huge coverage increases to their LTE platform.

So whilst I understand the Three >< TMO comparison, having used both extensively, TMO are in a completely different league to Three (who are a very budget cellular provider).
