I agree with Rete - you seem to be nothing more than a troll. I suggest you go bother some other website with your rants!

British citizens (with the exception of those born in Northern Ireland) are not even allowed to enter the Green Card lottery.
Apparently there are already enough/too many American citizens whose ancestry is derived from Great Britain and mainland Europe.
A few decades ago there were severe limits on most Europeans being eligible to apply and for US immigration to be more diverse and favourite GC lottery applicants to be from other countries, say in Asia, Australasia etc.
AFAIK Brits born in Northern Ireland can enter the GC lottery because one of the Kennedy's (I think it was Edward Kennedy) influenced the decision as he considered Brits born there to be 'Irish').

I disagree with the others, I think there is a "special relationship" between the US and UK, in politics, economics, and in military cooperation where for 40 years (and arguably longer) the UK has been an ally of the US and the lead and sometimes the only ally in military adventures, but it won't extend to green cards because the US doesn't want 15%-20% of the population of the UK decamping to the US.
That said, I do foresee a US-UK trade agreement containing an agreement for an "E-4", similar to the E-3 for Australians.

There is a very special relationship dating back to between 1775-1783. They even have a national holiday to celebrate the relationship.

Also, for someone that has 'given up on the dream', you sure spend a lot of time trolling about it!

I thought they were pissed at the British and kicked them out. Hence why they don't want any old limey coming back into the country.

Compared to how many Mexicans,Indians and Asians? I don't think it's that many compared to other nationalities. I'm sure there are figures somewhere. In 2012 there were almost 7 million Mexicans, and 260k from India. I think some orange Americans just want the Brits to have a feel good factors.
The UK does not appear in the top 10 in these maps.

No. Why would the Americans do that for the British, but not the French, or the Canadians?
From the American end this opens up a big can of worms, and that's assuming there would be domestic political support for it, which there wouldn't be.
What benefit would there be to US Citizens (not that the current crop of US politicians on either side would spend one second thinking about that anyways)?
As Pulaski pointed out - movement would be lopsided from the UK to the US for financial reasons. Same as Australia/New Zealand but New Zealand has a small enough population that Australia can handle it. The same would not be true UK/USA. The number of Americans who would take advantage would be very small - and the ones who would benefit, are probably the same demographic that would be appeased by just introducing a WHV.
