Default Short-term eligibility for medical care / insurance for family

Hi All,

Please advice we will be moving to USA in September and I will joining the my job in Nov / Dec time frame so during these 2 months how do I cover my family medical cover .
Also any special documentation I should get from NHS?

You should get some short term insurance once in the US. Travel insurance won't cover you.

Google 'short term insurance'

A letter from your GP might suffice.

Enroll for Affordable Care Act coverage on arrival - immigration is a qualifying event.

Then switch to your employer's coverage when that kicks in - taking a new job is a qualifying event for switching insurance.

Do you have link or recommendation where to enroll for affordable care act so i can dig more into it .

Start with healthcare.gov, and it should send you to the applicable state portal if there is one, otherwise you use the federal portal.

Or get expat global insurance..like img patriot insurance to cover the gap..
