It has Louisville at 5, funny, my Wife used to word for STK in Louisville, but when we were looking to move Louisville made neither of our lists. Better options in the area, in my humble opinion.

I live in Wheaton, right next to Naperville and would prefer to live in any number of towns over Naperville. Yeah, great schools, but basically all of the schools in DuPage county are terrific. Naperville is also extremely overpopulated (something like 150K people live there) and is filled with generic McMansions. It's your typical suburban sprawl town, IMO. It just goes to show, you have to really get personal opinions on any town to see if it fits for you.

Also, should have posted this earlier...:

I have replied, but v difficult, took us 9 months to find this place and we have the advantage of having a much better idea of what we both wanted.

Anyway let me know, my main area of knowledge is Boulder County market.

Hi

My son goes to University in Macomb. He is at Western Illinois University. Macomb is a very small town with the nearest larger city being Peoria I think. There is only one train into Chicago a day and it leaves at 7.30 am every day. The University is pretty much the focus of the town, apart from the Cornfields that it. It is very much out in the countryside. In the School summer holidays the St Louis Rams train and stay at the University. I'm sure you've checked but it is close to the border of Iowa and probably closer to St Louis Missouri than Chicago.

It takes us around 4 hours to drive to Macomb from the furthest Northwest suburbs of Chicago. (four and a half if I'm driving!) My son loves going to uni there and has made some great friends who live in and around Macomb. Good luck in you decision. Sorry but I don't know much about elementary schools there.

Why are you relocating to Macomb? Just curious.

The town is quite small with 4 public schools one in each age category.

Not sure if small town is positive or negative?

However as many of you have chosen to live in USA I thought you might have some thoughts on this subject.

Many thanks,

Fady
