speaking of beans, those heinz vegetarian beans in tomato sauce were a pretty good knock off of what we're use to, a tad sweeter though, but not bad, and a lot cheaper :)

Our Giant Eagle sells all of those...at a price. Every so often I buy a packet of ginger biscuits and eat the whole lot, dunked in tea ,reading my english magazine...bliss.

Prob packed full of high fructose corn syrup though. 3 tins of the real thing cost me $3 yesterday - happy enough with that.

aye, probably, I didn't want to check

but the knock off is 4 for $3 for medium sized cans, or $1.10 for a large one, instead of $1.80

I've got some of these bad boys in my freezer, left over from Christmas. Am still chomping my way through them; don't think the US folks were too impressed so I'm eating them on my own! My MIL got them as an attempt at replacement chipolatas, as we were trying to do a UK style Christmas dinner. Having not been back to the UK for 2 1/4 years, I thought the pork ones were pretty good. There seemt to be two sorts, thin or thick - personally, I'd go with the thin 'uns.

They also do some beef sausages, but wasn't impressed with those.

The sausages were good!
They were like a Walls banger and all my family thought they tasted like home. Of course we may have forgotton exactly what UK sausages taste like.

I will definately buy more if they have them.
