HI.
Just joined so am new to the forum.
Can anyone recommend a good Tax Accountant in the San Antonio Area that has experience in dealing with Expat Tax issues?

Why not ask around your friends and work colleagues? You probably won't get what you need at H&R Block and peer firms, but most medium sized tax practitioner CPA firms in your city will see international clients (or returning U.S. citizens) from time to time.

And most experienced tax practitioner CPAs understand that all foreign income is taxable in the United States (if you are U.S. resident), even if "tax free" in another country. It is possible to apply credits for foreign tax, and tax CPAs should also be competent to handle this.

Thanks for the input JAJ. I am retired like you, ex UK been in US 32 years, my circle of friends is now somewhat limited and I have already exhausted their recommendations without much success. I am fairly familiar with most routine international tax issues, however, have run Into a more complex issue which deserves the attention of an expert. Its difficult to separate the good from the bad out there without some sort of input. So I was hoping to get a recommendation on someone who specializes in this field. With its wealth of members I thought this might be a good place to start.
