Mrs P makes them, and it's no effort at all, ..... for me. :o

The dried stuff is pretty minging though, unless you add fresh/dried fruit and a load of booze to it and let it soak a while.

The bottled stuff, some have a lot of HFCS, so worth checking out.

Though a day after Christmas, that stuff is about 75% off and keeps for years :D

Mrs P buys jars (Bob: is that what you mean by "bottled"?) of it in the local grocery (not a British section), though why they stock it and who else buys it, I can't imagine, because I have never heard of anyone else using it?

Yup.

People buy it, then add venison, or other hunted meats to it, as that's what a mince pie is over here, in New England at least.

I might have to try this. Is it something between mayo and sour cream?

Rene

Like tomato ketchup, without the tomato flavor! My hubby loves it, it is one of the only things he asks for when I visit the UK... the other thing is Bassets Licorice Allsorts.

Anyone know where I can buy salad cream in los angeles :)

Central Market in Poulsbo WA has it, along with Cadbury's chocolate buttons! Also in Fred Myer's. I think Cadbury's chocolate tastes different over here...
