I haven't thought of that as something to do on a Saturday afternoon with the family... But if you guys were happy going round on roundabouts, who am I to judge?

Until roundabouts became part of my daily routine when little Miss P started school last year, I habitually went twice around every roundabout I found in the US!

I had my fill of roundabouts while in the UK recently. Not to say I still don't like them, I do! I was amazed at how easily I picked up the driving again over there. However, as I told my husband, you really have to think while driving over there, it can be tiring!

Not just youth. Food, oxygen, water, money; just about everything really.

Coming back home, I accidentally almost turned left into oncoming traffic, and I am sure I passed on the right several times. Ugh. I like British driving better. And I miss my Avis Fiat like a summer fling.

I did drive a couple of rental cars over there I quite liked as well. I'm not big on city driving over there (been there done that, brought back memories of trying to get to work on the side of town! ugh!) But driving out in the country is nice. We drove up to Scotland from my daughter's place in North Yorkshire, it was a nice drive!

You do here too! .... It' a pity so many people don't. Maybe if more people did then we wouldn't have five times the British population with TWENTY times the number of road fatalities!

Yes you do here as well... But the tight roads, double roudabouts, high congestion, etc, etc makes paying attention over there very important!

The prevalence of driving off the road and into trees or utility poles, often with fatal results, (which are an almost daily occurence in my local area) suggest that there is a significant attention deficit in the US.

Apparently the rural west is the most dangerous for car accidents, people drive off the road and it can be days before they're found.
