I hadn't really thought of myself as being romantic, but we've had our moments ;) My wedding bouquet was pressed and made into a picture, so it can be seen everyday, as a reminder. We also kept his button hole rose pressed, though I'll be blowed if I know where that is now!

It must really have been a surprise party with all those folks- good old mum!
As my husband has only met my mum & brother when they have visited us in the USA and none of my family attended our wedding as we "threw" it together in a few weeks. I hope that when we do (eventually) go to England we'll have a" vow renewal" ceremony for my friends & family to attend.
When I told my dad we were getting married he said "I thought you two had more sense than that!" (Why fix it if it 'ain't broke).
The "vow renewal" sounds like a great idea, I would like to do that the next time we go back, my family and relatives would love that.

I was so lucky I have an amazing group of close friends so 4 of my closest mates and their familys flew over for our wedding and my mum of course, it cost them a small fortune but they had a great time, playing golf and drinking beer and of course eating, I wasn't allowed a stag party too many places to get into trouble here in Dallas.

We met in a bar, but it wasn't love at first sight, guess I wasn't drunk enough - just kidding. We just became friends and hung out with each other, dated other people etc, discussed the crap relationships we'd had/were in etc. Looking back It was a "When Harry met Sally" type of deal. Just suddenly realising what we really meant to each other :)
