Smile Robinsons Squash in New York

Amazon constantly run out and don't have any more for 4-6 weeks at a time.
Fairway have some varieties for a fair price, but sometimes it isn't in stock.

Other than online stores with high prices, does anyone know of anywhere you can buy it in person? Other than Myers of Keswick?

Thanks everyone!

Well I guess anything is better than 'soda', can't argue with that.

When my family visit me in CA, they are amazed at all the healthy drink alternatives, particularly the 'Calistoga' drinks, which are a mixture of sparkling mineral water and fruit juice. I can't imagine whey anyone would desire a 'concentrate' these days, whether it's sweetened by high-fructose corn syrup, or the newer 'natural' aspartame. (scroll down to see the bit on Robinsons).

But here you go ... http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=608584

Concentrates usually work out a lot cheaper. We make semi-regular trips to Ikea to stock up on their Lingonberry, Elderflower, and, when they have it, Blueberry concentrates.

It's a wee bit of a hike from Brooklyn, but this place (The Butcher's Block) always stocked it when I lived in Queens.

Take the G Train to 23rd St Ely Avenue in Queens, then transfer to the 7 train, Queens bound local, to 40th Street. It's on the north side, on 41st St. Chances are, you'll go there looking for squash and come out with a bag-full of chocolate, biscuits and meat pies (oh, and squash). Cheaper than Myer's also.

I agree. The Butcher's Block is mutch h mor reasonable than Myers of Keswick. Better selection as well. Some of the Morton Williams in NYC have Squash as well.

That link was no help as none of those stores are available to me in New York. I'd already had a good look through.

As someone who has never been able to drink water in last amounts, I'd rather have some squash than soda all the time.

Thank you so much! Can you remember what flavors they had?

I typically dilute normal cranberry juice with 30-40% chilled water, so I guess it depends on your definition of "concentrate".

OT - but I also love those cans of coconut milk you get in the Mexican aisle.

I guess concentrates are environmentally friendly - why ship water around, especially across oceans ...

My gripe with these drinks is they have crappy ingredients. Even the supposed 'healthier' new blends from Robinsons are artificially sweetened, and I've developed a dislike for sweetened drinks. These days, a good glass of water (or five) keeps me satisfied between the morning coffee and the evening beer ... (which is quite funny really; growing up, we used to call water 'corporation pop' and nobody drank it!)

When I first went to London and encountered someone paying serious coin for a bottle of Perrier, I really could not believe it ... I thought she must be the most pretentious person on earth. Nowadays, I'd choose Perrier over 95% of 'daytime' beverages!

Well, to be honest, no, as I never bought them, but it was pretty comprehensive. They import a ton of groceries from Ireland so it might be slightly different (maybe not Robinson's for the squash, but I do remember them stocking barley water). Either way, it's worth the trek just to find out. Actually, I work pretty close to there now, and if I was a bit more flush, I'd go take a look for you, but unfortunately I'm a broke little ridski right now.
