Ribena in US?

Re: Ribena in US?
Their mark-up is HUGE, they stock stuff past its sell-by, and the people working in there are unfriendly. Rather like a typical British corner store, I guess!

I agree they are expensive! But sometimes you have to do what you have to do. We live in Mansfield, just down 360 from Grapevine, so once every couple of months we go up there and get some treats. Never noticed the sell-by issue before. Will have to look out for the dates. thanks!

There are several places to get your fix on Brit stuff.
IM me and I'll point out a few as I have discovered some sources for my personal needs after been in DFW for a few years.

Couldn't get Ribena for love nor money for a while last year and was told the FDA was blocking it?!! Perhaps it didn't contain enough high fructose corn syrup or e102?!?! Anyway, I wonder if the FDA have been at work again because now Marmite seems to have dissapeared from every publix and walmart I have visited in Orlando and the Tampa Bay area? Anyone else found this to be?

Now you woke me up to wonder who is blocking my smoked makrel ?!
You can only buy it in Whole Food market and at $8.00 2 two thin fillets.
Marmite is way overdue for a recepe "improvement". same as Branston Pickle, wines and cod liver oil.
I would recommend Sulphur Dioxide, or at least some GM soy lecithin or petrol derived - glycerol.
