Relaxing Sales Restrictions on Alcohol Content in Beer
Somewhat related to the thread about wine sales restrictions being dropped, you can't buy a third of the world's beer styles in North Carolina. The upper limit for alcohol by volume is currently 6%. There's a campaign in progress to increase this to 15%.
I'm sure NC is not alone amongst US states that have a rather low alc by vol max.

There are other states in the same boat. There are also states that prohibit a brewery selling food and homebrewing. Can't remember which but I'll see if I can did the articles up.
