Default questions about I-130 timeline- to those in Canada

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering how long it takes to receive packet 3 after you get your approval from the INS. Those in Canada, and particularly those who are going through Montreal- any experiences? If you have any experiences about how long it is taking to get an interview date after you send in Packet 3, I'd like to read about those too. Thanks.

Timeline:
I-130 mailed to NSC: March 9, 2002
Approval date: Sept 6, 2002
DS 3032 received: Oct 7. 2002
DS3032 sent: Oct 8, 2002
I-864 received: Oct 15, 2002

NEXT???

I phoned the NVC and asked about it. After you send your I-864 to St.
Louis, it will be in St. Louis for about 2 weeks. All they will do is
check that you sent the correct amount of money and that you sent and
signed all of the forms. It will take about 2 weeks after that for
the forms to get back to the NVC. Then they will analyze the I-864's.
This will take 6-8 weeks. They will then schedule the interview in
Montreal.
