Question Employment
I have a question regarding Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9). When I started working at my present employer I believe that I didn't fill out Form I-9, and I've been working at my current employer for more than two years. Should I ask my employer if I can fill out the form, or is it too late. Are there any exemptions in regard to Form I-9? I even have the necessary papers to prove my work eligibliity in the United States. Thanks for your assistance.

This is your employer's problem rather than yours. You should be receiving annual social security statements. If these show payments by your employer, all is well and I'd let sleeping dogs remain that way.

Re: Question Employment
Thanks for the reply. I'm guessing that my employer knows about the
Form I-9. I am certain that I didn't complete the form when I started work. I don't recall filling out the form I-9 at all. Glad to know that I'm OK and playing by the rules. When I started working at this location I didn't know about this Form I-9 business. I knew that it was the law that employers should only hire people legally authorized to work in the US. Thanks for your assistance, and see you later.
