QQ about tipping - really not sure
We had new furniture delivered almost a year ago, and it's taken this long to get the bed sorted (the finish was terrible, so they had to take it back to be re-done)
The guys are here putting the bed back together again.
Should I tip them? They're not exactly delivering new furniture, and I'm aggrieved with the company about the situation and time scales. But even so .. these guys?
Can anyone please advise?
Thanks

It's not their fault the company made a bad product - if they're doing their job well I wouldn't think they should "pay" for the company's mistakes.

If they are putting it together, than yea, I would tip, especially if they had to carry it upstairs or something. If just dropping off at front door than judgement call.

Thanks Penguin. I've still got your list you gave me eons ago! But there was nothing in there about 'aggrieved company re-delivering bed that wasn't up to scratch'
I'm soft. I gave them something. And they were cute

because they probably get paid peanuts to deliver per lot per team, and their job is usually just to deliver it to front of house, anything else like inside the gaff or putting it together is either something the shop charges extra or a service someone nice offers.
At the very least offer a six pack of beer.

Just had a joiner fit a new back door under warranty.
did a great job, refitted our blinds - so I offered him $20, and he politely refused! Said he was already getting paid, and he only tipped people who brought him food.
I was amazed!
