Now that I doubt very much. Somehow I cant see HM Inland revenue keen to let go assets on British soil so easily.

I would hope so too, but who knows what nasty surprises lurk in the depths of that infamous dual taxation treaty... :scared:

Does HM treasury have similar rules if a UK citizen dies on a US spouse living in the UK?
