It's all a bit odd. When they opened in the UK, there was an obvious niche for a chain of cheap clothing stores. In the US, however, the same niche is oversaturated: Walmart, Target, Macy's, JC Penney and others.

There are also loads of places like 'Forever 21' which have cheap stuff for teens which is more stylish than Primark.

Haven't really shopped there all that much. Are they like a TK/TJ Maxx?

Forever21? No, they just have their own stuff, aimed at a young market.

Primark's far cheaper than Old Navy!

In case my recollection was wrong I just looked on the Old Navy website, but basic things like t-shirts or vest tops that would be £2 in Primark are $15-25 in Old Navy.
