When we used to fly in/out of Boston with L1 and GC I think we had some nice TSA agents, but really horrible immigration people, probably because we're not Irish.
Never had a problem with any TSA agents or immigration at DIA.
Never had a problem at LHR either.
They do seem to change the rules as well. Shoes off at one airport, but not at another. Carry-ons in trays, on the belt at another. Then it's all changed by the time you come back.

They're just miserable shits at Logan. Amusingly enough, the missus is the one who gets the most hassle and she's the American

Been here ten years now. For the first 3 or 4 years I used to fly back to the UK three times a year for business, and never had a problem. Since then it's only been once a year, but each time everyone's been pretty efficient and friendly -- it might be because I live in Orlando and it's touristy though, so they're used to foreigners! I find the UK immigration officers pretty miserable each time I go back!
