someone came to my gaff and cooked that last new years day

its a shame collard greens and blackeye pea cooked in pig fat are so disgusting

Why the woman? There's probably a man/male in the car too. The kid might be his.... On second thoughts, the two in the drivers seat might be the parents of the child...

well a friend of mine bought a house about a year ago, he recently decided maybe he should decorate and unpack (like 3 weeks ago) so he invited everyone around to see his new place in the valley here in LA that he is somehow able to fit 7 driveable cars including sports/racing cars and 2 huge trucks (350's).... he's a party animal so it should be a fun night....

New Year's Eve is the only holiday that Mark and I have celebrated together since we met, so it's sort of special to us. In late 2002, I travelled to England to visit Mark and meet his family. For New Year's Eve dinner, we cooked carbonara (totally fattening but then we only have it once a year!) and veggies and garlic bread. YUM. And that's what we've had for every New Year's Eve dinner since!

Did I miss the announcement for your new sig?

As my mother would say 'saves them breaking up another happy couple'.

Smile Re: Plans for New Years Eve?

My best friend arrived back in NJ from Sydney last night with her lovely mum (who really is like a Dame Edna Everidge LOL!) and her two children (who were stopped from leaving Oz a few weeks ago by her vindictive ex-husband) but he's now allowed them to return to their home in the US.

We're going round to her house for dinner which my husband will cook (roast lamb, roast potatoes, yorkshire pud etc.) and taking along a nice South African expat from the expat women's group I'm in who would otherwise be on her own this evening.....she reckons she makes the best roast potatoes in the world so it will be interesting to see what she thinks of the recipe according to Delia Smith LOL! We did find some nice S.African red wine and have some sparkling wine for midnight.....hope the Aussies stay awake as they will be very jetlagged.

Didn't bother to celebrate last year as was too upset after the tsunami to celebrate.

Our son will be round his girlfriend's but he's not allowed under State law to drive after midnight so we will have to pick him up later (husband is teetotal).....it is snowing and the roads are very slippery as they haven't been gritted.
