Passport Renewal - naturalised in UK
I live in the US, green card holder and I just want to renew my UK passport, but I was naturalised in the UK as a child. I'm 34 now.
Do I have to find all those naturalisation documents from my parents? I've never even seen them or heard about them? Anyone else remember these documents from say 30 years ago? Please tell me there's an easier way.

Did your UK passport expire 30 years ago?

Depends how old your passport is probably...but your best bet is having a look on the embassy website..

I guess I must have renewed 10 years ago while I was still in the UK, but I still don't remember having to provide that particular information.

You should write to the British Embassy and ask what is the process to get a replacement citizenship certificate from the Home Office (if yours is lost). Incidentally, if you became a British citizen as a child then you need a copy of your certificate of *registration* not *naturalisation* (only adults can be naturalised in the UK, children are registered).

When you are renewing your passport, be prepared to pay an arm and a leg! I renewed mine. I had to pay $200 plus a $80 fed ex fee!
