Just wondering if anyone is near or knows much Pasadena. Michael has been put on a leadership programme for a year so all things going according to plan, it looks like LA will be my POE and first home in the US.
At the moment we're thinking we'll probably rent in either downtown or old town Pasadena as he doesn't want to have to deal with too much of a commute. Neither of us know much about the area and I've googled and wiki'd a bit but if anyone has any more info etc. it would be much appreciated.

Well thankfully some of the major living expense (ie. rental) will be covered by his employer.
Thanks for that link, looks interesting. I'm going to join a couple of groups from meetup.com in the meantime so I can try and get a network going before I get there!
