Ouch My Back

Ouch My Back
Had a normal day today doing my usual work things (I.T. so i sit down all the time) but somehow i have hurt my back. I am in quite alot of pain and the painkillers aren't helping. I can't believe i've done any serious damage just sitting on my backside so i'm hoping it's just temporary. Does anyone have some good ideas how to feel better? so far suggestions from work have been a hot bath and/or massage.
Oh and to top it all off i have also got the hiccups........not exactly painful but every hic is killing my back

yes! there are various yoga exercises that help so much. I was having terrible lower back pain and just doing five minutes of stretches has lead to huge improvement.
I found a link to a site which has a video demo of some yoga poses meant to help the back...

Ice the back only, sleep with a pillow underneath your knees so your legs are slightly elevated and a good painkiller, believe I know how you feel.

A heat pad on the pad...what's pretty good is putting some dried beans, or rice into a sock, tie the end off and heat in a microwave for a couple mins....great for the shoulders too...
But long term, like already suggested...do some gentle back stretches..
