Options for UK account - Wise, HSBC or someone else?
Hi
My IF account has finally been closed :-( So looking for a GBP account for the following
NI Contributions
Deposit GBP cheques
Wondering if a Wise account can do this or do I need to go for an HSBC Expat account
Any advice very welcome

Sort of closing this out for anyone who finds this thread in the future.
I opened a Wise account and also found some people who I think have used it for Class II NI contributions via DD. But I cannot get my head around fees etc.
So I also applied for an HSBC Expat account
Between these 2 I think I can achieve what I need.

Pretty pissed off with Wise at the moment. Because my regular US account doesn't have all my names (my mum gave me 3!), I had to send documentation that the account is held jointly with my husband and me. I uploaded several documents to prove ownership, but none were acceptable because our US account doesn't have my full name. It wasn't required 24 years ago! I never had this issue with another account that doesn't have my full name. I'm just angry now, but I might consider an alternative company. It's a pity because it has been helpful over the last few years.
