Default Opticians?

What do you guys recommend? Anyone tried any of the large one's like vision express and pearl vision?

Just curious, probably a mute point anyway as the medical insurance is for the pearl vision in bangor, but they don't do eye test's there, which is weird...and interesting....

I went to one in Vision Express. Actually it wasn't covered by my insurance but it was only $30 so I had it done. It would have been a $15 co pay anyway.

They are all proper eye docs in there and the tests seemed pretty thorough, much more so than at home. I'd say go for it.

If that's the case, I might give them a go....just that the vision express in the mall looks even scarier than the pearl vision *lol*
Have to double check the medical anyway as they still haven't sent my my card....

Our medical insurance doesn't cover opticians and glasses/ contact lens - we had to buy a separate add-on policy.

We're got $20 co-pay, only for me, missus don't need glasses...and it's to cover a set of lenses and a pair of glasses every two years, only prob was, it only listed the one pearl vision in bangor, and they don't do eye test's, which could be a problem, so if I had to use any ole place for a test, out of pocket, might be easier going to a local, but don't know what any of them charge, wouldn't happen to have an idea what some of the larger chains charge like vision express?

Stupid thing about the insurance, it doesnt' have me registered with a GP, but I'm all set for a OBGYN....WTF?? made the missus laugh...so gotta sort that out...
