Default NY Hotels

Hi all,
Wife and I are visiting NY for 5 days in early September.
Can anyone recommend an hotel which is central and reasonably priced?

Ta in advance

What star level are you looking for?

The Skyline on 10th has decent sized rooms and a wonderful pool. It's reasonably priced too, or at least, it was a couple of years ago.

What is your definition of reasonably priced?

I just got back from a 5 day trip to NYC last week. Stayed at the Hampton Inn on 8th Ave/51st St. Booked it through Hotels.com for $190 a night. It's a pretty good hotel in a central location (5 minutes walk to Times Square, same to Central Park). The room was pretty good, the staff were excellent (very friendly and helpful) and you even get a complimentary breakfast.

try looking on tripadvisor.com, hotels.com and priceline.com.

You'll find something there that suits your budget and find out (on tripadvisor) which hotels to avoid, unless you want bedbugs.
