Nutjob Huckabee
Is messing up the republican nomination by picking up the massive christian vote in rural areas in the south/midwest
now we are going to end up with John 'what economic policy? I lead the largest squadron in the US Navy' McStain with Mike 'lets change the constitution to reflect gods words' Huckabee as the VP
from a personal perspective I would be better off with him than Hilary, but I think I would have to support her in the event they both get the nomination

Blame Stephen Colbert.
I hope Hillary really doesn't get in. The Republicans don't think they can beat Obama heads up.

I can't help but wonder if all this "YOU DECIDE 2008" is going to stem down
to people stretching out their chewing gum, twirling it around on their finger,
while doodling out on 4 seperate lines "President _______" on their notepad
and saying "Ooo, like the sound of that one!" - then go vote.

Its also a vote for someone who doesn't believe in dinosaurs
Do you realise that the fair tax disproportionately benefits people who are very wealthy?
Imagine 2 scenarios
1. Someone working at a grocery store on minimum wage - this demographic is basically spending all income to keep head above water, a flat 35% sales tax on everything (even taking into account rebates for people below the poverty line) is going to make things tougher
2. Someone who makes $20,000 a month. There really is a limit to how much you can realistically spend day to day. Yes, you can buy a ferrari every year, but there is still a point where money just builds up you start taking money baths. These people are getting a HUGE benefit since consumption does not increase linerarly (SP) with income...

"It is expected that moving to the FairTax would decrease associated production costs due to the removal of business taxes and compliance costs, which is predicted to offset a portion of the FairTax effect on prices."
"With the rebate taken into consideration, the effective tax rate would be progressive on consumption and could result in a tax burden of zero or less for some taxpayers."
