He and his family stayed put at the beach. There was plenty of rain beating down on his home. The only damage to his home was that a few panels of siding were blown off. This caused water to leak into part of his house.
He says he'll fix the repairs himself and all being well, he may have completed it by end of today.
PS: Tough sh*t Patrick if you wanted to post this yourself! Teach you to read BE more often!

I think that belongs in the thread 10 things you didn't know about me,
NC Penguin, glad not too much rain etc. I had some clients from the mountains of NC that went on an Alaskan cruise last September during all the hurricanes. I remarked that they must be glad they didn't go to the Carib on the cruise and they said yes but they came home to a freezer full of spoiled food etc courtesy of losing power due to the storms.

Thanks for all the attention, unless you just wanted me washed out sea?
It was a punk storm, the only reason we had so much damage is because Ophelia (Buttocks) stalled off the coast and pounded us for 13 hours. I should have taken some photos of the flooding, we had Isabel, charlie and alex but this was the worst one because it didnt just pass through.
Thanks for all the support
Patrick
BTW did anyone harrass Bob for me, I wasnt on for 4 days that means you had about 600 new bob posts to choose from.

Does anyone know how much rain/flooding there was in the mountain region (around Yancey County, near Mount Mitchell)?
My family have log cabins there, and we fear one day we'll lose them to flooding (they're right next to a creek).
