HAHA!!! Not noticed the noisy eaters... but the one handed eaters! UGH!!!

Drives me MENTAL! My OH will even try to cut steak with the fork - wtf?

Okay, the absolute worst part - I do it too now. Yep, I am a one-handed-eating-freak. I hear about it when I go home.

And the gum chewing - loud, obnoxious, lip-smackin loud. Me, that is - I swear I keep Trident in business.

What drives me mad was the dessert-sharing. One tiny wee dessert to be shared amongst 6 people.

I know - I hate it too! I really do. I work from home so I do it at home. It's either gum or emptying out the fridge/cupboards every day.

I remind myself to NOT chew in public. I bring the altoids with me when I'm around peeps.

I think the occasions when I do chops or a roast are the only times I use a knife these days. One thing I can't remember -- how do we eat a curry in the UK? Surely we didn't use a knife and fork for that? I have absolutely no memory of it -- at least when I pull out onto an empty road and get a panic attack that I'm on the wrong side, I have a memory device of imagining turning out of the road I grew up on that helps me to remember which side to be on, but I cannot visualize going out for an Indian!

Agreed. It looks like the minute they need to use a knife things get very complicated for some...

When I met my now ex-husband he made a smug comment about being able to use a knife and fork that I didn' understand until I moved here...

This reminds me of how impressed I was in England by your (meaning British people) ability to pile a lot of different stuff on the back of your fork! I'd never seen anybody do that until I moved there...

Easy - British food is so over cooked & soft you can squish any amount of it together on the fork. Needs to be that way, as very few of us have a full complement of teeth.

There's about 60 million Americans also without full complement of teeth... About the population of UK...

You would'nt think it so quaint if you were sharing with me mate, when it comes to sharing food there's only two types of people, the quick and the hungry and i'm like Billy the Kid with my fork

And yes i do eat with one hand as the other hand is holding the plate while i'm sitting on the couch watching 'Man versus food'
