Yes, it really does vary by state. AZ, where w used to live, was a no-go for social teen at-home drinking. OH where we live now permits:

- on private non alcohol-selling premises, with parental consent
- for religious purposes
- for medical purposes
- on alcohol-selling premises with parental consent

I'm choosing not to let my son in on the last one, as otherwise who will drive us home from the bar? 😆
