I know this is gonna sound totally sappy or physco

But the Middle East is where I feel at home

How weird is that..

But the more the city is getting commercialised, the sadder I feel, because I wouldnt want the true essence of the place to disappear

For me it is truly magical.....

I agree, it's losing the magic with all the commercialization... but there are places, like Muscat, that are still relatively unspoiled...can't wait to visit there, we had several friends leave Riyadh when we did and they moved there. It's on my Fall agenda, LOL.

Do you know how to save it and upload it to BE. I sized it to 65x65, so it's the right size already.

Let's see...right click on the picture and "save pictue as" and name it and put it in your picture file or desktop or where ever. Go to the My Profile up in the blue line across the top of the page. Once inside on the left side there is a column of stuff. Click on edit my avatar. Go in there and it will have an area with a box that says browse. Click it and find the avatar where ever you stored it. Double click and it will show the name in the box. Hit the upload button and I think that should do it. Bob could probably tell you better though.

Lucky Gal, my Mum went to Muscat on a visa run, although she never left the airport LOL

I shall be 40 in Nov, and I want to do a trip to India with my husband, leaving the kids behind for 2 weeks or so,

The kids will stay here with my Mum, because

1.. Too many shots involved
2.. Want to be with my husband
3.. Kids dont like to travel long haul from the US
4.. Want to be with my husband
5.. Husband has only ever been in Dubai airport 17 years ago on our honeymoon on our way to Thailland

So having a stop over in Dubai, before our magical mystery tour

Shall take him to the place I love,

Ahh, happy memories, and I am such a good loyal wife ...

Sounds loverly...I turned 40 last year...I got to spend a week in Germany with Hubby and without the kids back in October and it was bliss, even though he was working most of the time.

I hope you can figure the avatar out...if not someone in the Lounge can help, I'm sure. I really have to toddle off to bed now...it's after midnight here and have to get the kids up at 6:30 to take them to the bus stop...frigging cold, supposed to snow and their bus stop is a mile from our house...

So I'll say good night for now. Great talking to you. If you want to see me and my family I put some photos in the photopost earlier today. Catch you tomorrow, then. Night!
