Yes, I remember those days of visiting. Back when it was all days out to the beach, lounging at the pool all day and non-stop sex. Back before it was working 12 hour days to pay for a mortgage, absurdly high car and medical insurance and getting stuck in traffic jams all day. I really need to move back and start over.

I've just read through all that and I agree with the majority of posters, this sounds way too fishy! It sounds to me (and what do I know!) that she's just looking for a way out of her current situation (which I don't blame her for) but hopefully this isn't a opportunity knocks scenario, especially if the OP is planning on giving up everything to move to the US with her. Also, abusive ex's tend to never be out of the picture (ex or not!) and if I were the new man I would be watching over my shoulder every minute of every day.
