I live in Manhattan, right by Central Park so although I am in the city I live in an area that is tree lined and the 300 acre park is round the corner so, I have the best of both.

Mass...it's the arsehole state apparently...western is supposed to be green and nice...eastern, expensive and mediocre.

Maine...bloomin' huge, cities that are smaller than most villages...but not a bad holiday state, sod living there if your under retirement age though.

It's a bastard when you spend most of the day driving a truck the whole way across I-80, then when offloaded you turn around to drive all the way back again.
Try route 56 in New Mexico ............. hours of nothing ! I came across one settlement 'Chester' It had 6 houses, 4 barns ..... A comunity hall And a damm hardware store !!!!!!! No grocers, no general store but a damm Hardware store and no other houses for about 30 miles.......... Must do a roaring trade

Georgia here, but the area that is known as The Low Country because we're on the coast. Palm trees and oak trees with Spanish moss draped on them.
Nothing like Atlanta-it's all flat here which gets a bit boring if you were raised in the mountains. Still,l don't have to shovel any snow in the winter so that's a plus.

Just like to say hi! I lived in Omaha for 3 years as that's where my hubby is from. Well I say from... it's just where he ended up, he was an air force brat. I am from Yorkshire, Bradford to be precise We've been back in the UK for 4 years now.

I found Nebraskans generally friendly, but there was no way I fit in there!

Anyway, I will be there for most of the month of July as we're visiting the in-laws and I stay longer with our son (he's 3) so they can spend more time with him. PM me if you want to meet up at all!

Southern Arizona - hot, sunny, dry (although right now it's overcast, cool and humidity is a disgustingly high 30%) and full of enormous Saguaro cactii. Oh, and Border Patrol types are everywhere...
