Default Container has cleared customs

Woo!

We're moving into our permanent house in less than 2 weeks and can't wait to get our belongings.

I wish I'd put more toiletries in our air shipment/luggage (just can't seem to find equivalent hair products here) and miss our saucepans terribly!

What did you miss the most from your stuff?

Congratulations.

Don't worry you'll find replacement for things like that...it may take a while but you'll eventually get there. Can't say the same for chocolate and M & S food.

Ah, M&S food. Nothing quite like it!

As for the hair products - I'm spending a small fortune trying to find something that works (trying to replace my Wella volumising spray). Absolutely nothing I've bought does the same job

Thanks both.

Sadly Wella don't manufacture the product anymore. They discontinued it just before I left the UK and I even rang their helpline asking what the replacement would be.

They told me they don't stock the old stuff, or anything like it in the States. Oh well!

Thanks anyway

One of the Brits I chatted to in California who lives in New Jersey (and was very nice) was talking about hair and I said the New Jersey motto is 'the bigger the hair the closer to God'. This has been told to me my MANY friends from NJ none of whom have big hair, well, maybe Katherine Anyway, her friend got very miffed with me and said I should see the NJ's lady's home, it was a rambling house on much land!!!!!! I never accused her of having big hair OR being from NJ

Be ready for that humidity then nothing seems to work for me over here, different hair style needed in the end, all's fine just as long as I stay indoor's. All the best for your move

Walgreens seem to do a lot of UK hair products and our local supermarket sells the Aussie range which I sometimes used in the UK. The humidity is the killer though and the lack of good hairdressers.

I miss the smell of UK toiletries.

It took me 2 years to find a decent hairdresser. One handy tip I wish I had known before my first visit - Bangs = Fringe.
