naturalization certificate / passport

when I sent off with my certificate for my new blue passport, are they supposed to send the certificate back? They didn't with me..... thought it odd.

It is usually sent back separately. Give it a week or so then contact them. You need the certificate as it is proof of your US citizenship.

Yes, they are supposed to send back your original naturalization certificate. It usually doesn't get returned in the same package as your passport.
