Default moving to usa

Hi everyone new to this site, my wife and I and eldest son are considering a move to the U.S
We are both in our 40's son 19.
It's not necessarily for financial gain rather a better way of life.
I am ex military and working in civvy street in uk as an hgv class 1 truck driver wife is a qualified pharmacy technician.
We are just at the thinking about it stage,
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
We were thinking of somewhere rural, and don't mind a fixer upper lol
Somewhere warm please?
Like I say, any help or advice would be great, many thanks

Take a look at the visas you may qualify for if any, otherwise probably a no go.

The first thing to say is that given the info you have quoted you are very unlikely to get a visa for the US unless you or your wife are US citizens, you really need to understand tha the US is one of the hardest countries to get a visa for unless you have niche skills that no one in the US will have, or have a shed load of money to buy a Green Card via the investor visa, and we are talking hundreds of thousands of US dollars. If you really need to get away and move to an English speaking country, then it's much easier to get a visa to move to Canada, Australia or New Zealand.

Please have a look at the info in this articel from the BE Wiki.

http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Pulask...ork_in_the_USA

and also visit the Immigration part of the US forum where there are manay articles and threads that will help you.

Good Luck, and I'm sorry to say that you will need a lot of it.

And it's probably very little consolation to point out that life isn't automatically "better" just slightly different. Another shade of green.

You certainly do not want to be poor here.

It's probably also worth noting the OP posted the exact same post in Italy, France, Australia and Canada.

The last 4 letters of his User Name (Airbornepara), are synonymous with his query.....

para (español) = toward, to, destination

Example:
El señor Airborne vuela para la luna. (Mr. Airborne is flying toward the moon).
In this instance Mr. Airborne has no destination (yet). Therefore: Airbornepara - - - - (and he's appealing to us to help him fill in the blank)

Spanish isn't that widely spoken in the UK. Five gets you two he's referencing parachutes or maybe paratroopers.

So we just need to concentrate on countries which have a high incidence of invasion by Paratroopers.
