Moving car from State to State?
Anyone have any links to companies that will move your car from east to west coast? I'm looking for the ones that will drive it across rather than stick it on a truck as I assume this would be cheaper. It would be from Vermont to California.
Cheers

Here you are. I drove a car for this company once, in an earlier life.

I wouldn't bet on it being much cheaper as shipping it could be done by container/truck (two cars per container/ truck), or even by train. Whereas there is the expense of paying the driver, paying the drivers expenses, and the wear and tear on your car, and that's not to mention the risk of having your car "thrashed" for 3,000 miles across America!

Shipping by truck or train was way more expensive than being driven. The driver doesn't get paid as they are looking for essentially a free hire car. The main cost is insurance to avoid the car getting thrashed. Anyway, we decided to sell and lose out that way
