Moving back to the US! Anyway to make our Wii Work?

Hi All,
So we are getting all set to move back to the States and with that comes deciding what we can take...and what we can't!
I wanted to know if anyone has figured out a way to have their UK Wii work in the States??
Any tricks/advice would be most appreciated!!! :D
Thanks!

Jen

Sell it on eBay and buy a new one here

If you could buy a voltage adapter, which you probably could find quite easily, you'd still have the problem of displaying the pal output on a new ntsc tv, unless you bought a multi-standard tv. This says a way to do it with a pal/ntsc converter:

I agree the better option would be to buy a new system. Wiis probably have quite a good resale value still.

Those converters are shit though, unless you get a big digital one, and they would cost more than the Wii. Could just use component cables though I think.

The other issue is, you'll be stuck buying imports I think, unless you hack it because of the regions.

I think the Freeloader hack mod can change the PAL/NTSC and remove region coding...but it's on the dubious side of very dodgy.

We use a UK Wii here, but our TV is both PAL and NTSC, plus we have a voltage transformer (not solely for the Wii!).
However, what I have found is that you can't change the location in set-up to the US, it only has European option. Not a big problem, but it offers you 'local' downloads based on your location, and so I can't add Netflix
You are probably already aware of this, but games are region fixed too.
