Moving to America: Medical History
I would like to move to America having visited many parts of it and falling in love with the place but I was born with a Hole in the Heart for which I had an operation when I was a baby and then another when I was 9. I am now 24 years old and I live a normal life but I would like to know if I would have problems applying for America. Would this been treated as a risk and rejected?
I know that America are very tight on Medical Insurance etc. Anyone who could offer any advice I would be most greatful.
Cheers

Well not something they test for at the medical, I think they are just looking for something contageous.
Well Medical Insurance is an issue for everyone, most get it through their jobs or education. Something you would need to check with them.
I take it that you have been able to obtain travel insurance in the past?.

The insurance issue is not really an immigration issue; I can't speak to it.
The medical condition is not a Class A condition, therefore does not
automatically disqualify.
In some cases, a medical condition that inhibits employability can have
public charge consequences. However, you say you can live a normal
life, which I assume means you can work. So if you can find a legal
basis on which to immigrate, you will probably be ok.

How are you planning on moving to the states? If you can't get a visa, worrying about medical insurance is a mute point.
