More damned fires
<begin rant>
Yet more fires in C.A. In the Malibu area again.
Only a few miles from were I stable my horses. It seems to be heading away from them at present. I'm off to see if I can make it in to the canyon and check they are OK, I will try and pull them out if need be. Parts of PCH are closed so I'll have to head north and try get in that way.
Does it ever end

Re: More damned fires
The fire kept away from the horses. From the stables all we saw was the billowing smoke. We had trailers on standby to pull them out for most of the day until we knew it posed no threat. We only had one road out after they closed Kanan Dune Rd to PCH.
I only had my cell phone camera with me, so the quality is not great. I wish I had my camera with me as I could have taken some spectacular shots of the DC10 dropping fire retardant.

Thank you for the update Pony - glad to see that things worked out, though I agree with JerseyGirl - a bit close for comfort!
