BLOOMFIELD, Connecticut (CNN) -- A 15-year-old girl who had been missing for nearly a year was found Wednesday, locked in a small hidden room under a staircase in a West Hartford, Connecticut, home, police said.

We were talking about this yesterday in another thread. It was reported this lunchtime that she was being kept safe from her abusive parents..claiming her parents had sexually and physically abused her.

It said she'd ran away from home and was living voluntarily in the house with the man and the 2 woman. She went to school every day, had a cell phone and was allowed to go where she pleased.

She hid in the cupboard when anyone came to the door in case it was her parents or the authorities. Her parents were friends of the people she was living with.

It does...there was a boy found with the girl...they are both in protective custody according to the report on TV.

They stay with their captor even though they have opportunity to escape, adopt their captors belief system and to everyone else appear to be staying voluntarily with that person.
