They will put you on call-back, and call you when you need pick up your next, supply, until your prescription runs out. Don't use your drug card, just pay for it.
As the retail price of drugs get down below $10 for a 30 days supply, Walmart and Target start considering putting them on their $4 prescription list. Zocor (simvastatin) is still up around $20 for a 30 days supply so it'll probably be a while before it gets to the $10 range.

Oh hey, listen....I realised about four days after the fact - while I was wasting time on BE probably - that I/we had forgotten our biometrics appointments for our greencard application, I broke out in a cold sweat, but it was all good in the end.

As others have said, I'm sure if you give them a call and grovel it will all be fine.

I got the date of our US citizenship interview/oath ceremony mixed up...it was 2 days earlier than the date I'd put on the calendar. You are right...grovelling goes a long way.

How long did you have to wait for the next interview?

We made an appointment via the internet to the USCIS office...a couple of days later we attended the appointment and grovelled. A couple of months later we received a new date...turned out to be 6 months after the original date. As it turned out we were lucky because the date I thought was our interview was Good Friday...so our file hadn't been marked as a no show. If it had been we would have had to have started the application from the beginning.

Then a few weeks ago when I went for a physical, the MA asked when I had my last one and got all the stuff out. I was like "oh, you do them here?" and he said yes. So the doc came in (a new one I'd never met, plus a bloody medical student!!) and did the test. I said "gee, what a way to meet someone!".

Ah well, at least it saved me trouble, but I still don't have a gyne now.

Just wanted to let you know that I phoned this morning and they were really cool about it. I'm guessing it's because she works on a switchboard so it's no skin off her nose, unlike my UK practice which was a little village surgery with a dragon of a receptionist! I couldn't re-schedule until May but never mind. Thanks for listening to my crazy meltdown madness, the 1st of many I am sure!

If you can't get an appointment for a month, that would indicate that he has too many patients on his books. You should be able to find a good doctor that you can get an appointment within a week.

One time I used one of those type doctors and got very frustrated. I'd make an appointment and then need lab tests and then back to see him. It was two months before I found out about the lab test. Ever since then when I was told it would take a month to get an appointment, I said no thank you and called another doctor. I've been happy with all the doctors except the one that required a long time to get an appointment.

Also I've found my doctors can generally fit me in the same day right before lunch or at the end of the day if I have a minor emergency.
