Is it just me or does anyone else miss UK ads. Anyone know where I can watch them online?

I can't find it at the moment, but I was searching for the old tango ads and found a website you can download the videos for them.. It had tons of other ads on it too.. I'll see if I can dig it out.

Here's a site - but it's old ads, not new ones....

Here's a good site to check out some of the ads.

Shame we don't get stuff like the Argos or Iceland ads here....

I saw the Sony ad when I was back home in November and thought it was great. I do miss the Brit adverts, the genital herpes and viagra alternative ads just don't have that certain something do they

I found the Sony ad mentioned in the article here and the Virgin Trains one is here and here is that Golf GTiadvert, brilliant.

In the words of Douglas Adams "ITV (or any US television channel for that matter) is not in the business of making good programs, they're in the business of finding more and more creative ways to get you to watch the adverts."

That said, you can't go wrong with TV Ark when it comes to getting old ads.

My OH was with me in the UK for a short while and she loves British Adverts compared to the US ones..... although she was shocked about the "Wear your seatbelt" ones where you see the kid smash into the windshield a few years back

I know this sounds sick, but I really like the one where the son is sat behind his mum who is driving & the daughter is in the front seat. The narrator says, "?% of people are killed by someone they know" & the whole time the woman is looking in her rear view mirror at the white van behind her, then she rear ends someone. The son flies forward & hits the mother's chair (all in slow motion). The narrator says "After he crushed his mother to death, he sat back down.". Then it comes back to real time, the son is holding his broken nose & the daughter is looking at her mum & screaming.

It gives me chills just remember & writing about it. A very powerful advert.

LOL.... I figure either we as a nation back home are more reserved (of course) or just have less problems with 'vaginal drynal' or 'erectile dysfunction' as I never remember many of those ads from back home....

We just don't need those ads in England, because we go to a GP who prescribes what they see fit. Although I don't understand why you need some of the ads over here, do people see the ad on TV, self diagnose themselves & ask a doctor to prescribe that drug for them? Weird!

"Hello Doc, I know what my problems is, and please can I have 6 months supply of the the following drugs... Here's a list - please write me a prescription for each. Thanks"... Probably !
